Just because a speaker is blown or making popping sounds, does not necessarily mean that it should be junked. Many common speaker problems can be fixed with a speaker repair kit very inexpensively. For all intents and purposes the only damage which is not repairable is if an audio driver is dropped causing the basket to bend or the magnet itself to break.
